Keith joined BGF in November 2015 and is based in the Aberdeen office. He covers the north of Scotland from Dundee to Inverness and beyond. Keith’s responsibilities include deal origination and transacting together with providing support to existing portfolio companies.
Prior to joining BGF, Keith was an Investment Manager at Souter Investments where he worked on transactions primarily in the transport sector.
Keith trained and qualified as a solicitor at Shepherd and Wedderburn and has an LLB honours degree and Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Aberdeen.
James joined BGF’s South West team in 2017 and is based in the Bristol office.
Before joining BGF James spent five years at EY in the corporate finance team where he advised on a number of transactions including the sale of IPL to Civica and the acquisition of Transtank Pty by Western Global.
James is responsible for identifying investment opportunities in the South West and managing the deal process from origination through to completion.

Kevin is Chairman, Corporate Banking and Vice-Chairman, Investment Banking at Barclays.
Kevin joined Barclays as a graduate and has held client and product leadership roles in corporate and investment banking as well as roles in strategic planning and human resources. He has worked in the U.S., Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore as well as the UK. His current role is largely client focused in the UK, Ireland and Asia-Pacific.
Kevin is a non-executive director of Which? Ltd. and a trustee director of the Barclays pension fund.
Kevin graduated with a BSc (Hons) in Accounting & Financial Analysis from Warwick University.
Fiona joined BGF’s investment team in 2017 to support the growing portfolio in the South West of England. She is based in Reading, and also spends time across the South West region and in London.
Fiona has 15 years private equity experience, predominately managing minority equity investments across a range of sectors, initially at 3i and latterly in different roles in Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group. She started her career at Ernst & Young.
Fiona has a degree in Business Economics from Salford University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Paul Stevens joined BGF in 2016 and is based in the London office. Paul has over ten years’ experience investing in listed companies, having worked in the Quoted Smaller Companies Equities team at Octopus Investments, where he contributed to the outperformance of funds-under-management during that time.
Paul will focus on identifying investment opportunities in AIM listed companies as part of the BGF Quoted offering, which is supported by BGF’s nationwide investment team.
Paul joined BGF in November 2016 as an Investor based in Manchester. Paul is involved in all aspects of the investment process from origination through to transaction execution, and supports companies throughout the investment hold period.
Prior to joining BGF, Paul spent 10 years at KPMG including 6 years in the Northern Corporate Finance team where he gained extensive experience advising vendors, private equity and management teams on a range of mid-market M&A transactions.
Paul graduated from The University of Manchester with a degree in Accounting, and is a Chartered Accountant with ICAEW. He is married and outside of work enjoys watching / playing football and spending time with family.
