Paul Stevens joined BGF in 2016 and is based in the London office. Paul has over ten years’ experience investing in listed companies, having worked in the Quoted Smaller Companies Equities team at Octopus Investments, where he contributed to the outperformance of funds-under-management during that time.
Paul will focus on identifying investment opportunities in AIM listed companies as part of the BGF Quoted offering, which is supported by BGF’s nationwide investment team.
Paul joined BGF in November 2016 as an Investor based in Manchester. Paul is involved in all aspects of the investment process from origination through to transaction execution, and supports companies throughout the investment hold period.
Prior to joining BGF, Paul spent 10 years at KPMG including 6 years in the Northern Corporate Finance team where he gained extensive experience advising vendors, private equity and management teams on a range of mid-market M&A transactions.
Paul graduated from The University of Manchester with a degree in Accounting, and is a Chartered Accountant with ICAEW. He is married and outside of work enjoys watching / playing football and spending time with family.
Dan joined BGF in October 2016 as part of the Direct Origination team, working across the Northern offices to drive the quantity of off-market investments made via direct channels.
Prior to joining BGF Dan spent seven years at Bureau van Dijk, providing strategic data solutions to a range of companies, before taking his last position as Business Development Director.
In this role Dan worked with some of the largest Companies in the UK and was focused on developing and supporting effective CRM, Credit, Compliance & Acquisition strategies and process.
Dan graduated from Keele University in 2007 with a degree in Law & Human Resource Management. He lives in Cheshire and is married with two children. Outside of work he spends the majority of his time with his young family and tries to keep fit by occasionally playing football and sailing.
Knowledge & Research Specialist
Based in the London office, Adam joined BGF in August 2016 and works across all regions and functions. He is responsible for the research needs of BGF, specifically making sure that we have access to the most appropriate resources and ensuring that our knowledge is captured and shared accordingly. Prior to BGF Adam spent eight years in a similar role at Orbis Investment Advisory Ltd.
Adam lives in Kent with his wife and is kept very busy by their two young children. Any spare time he does get is spent playing sport and occasionally getting to a Tottenham match.
Fayzah joined BGF’s business development team in July 2016, and is responsible for events and marketing initiatives.
Fayzah’s previous role was within the technology sector of Capita plc (NTS UK), where she held the position of Account Manager. She has experience in building relationships and managing accounts for a variety of clients including law firms, private clients, not for profit and government. Fayzah has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours in Psychology from the University of Roehampton, London.
She has enjoyed volunteering as a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator at two local Academies.
Chris joined BGF in October 2016 and is responsible for identifying and executing investments throughout the Midlands.
Prior to BGF, Chris completed a degree in Law from Queens University Belfast and a MSc in Accounting & Finance from Aston Business School, before qualifying as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant in 2015. He joins from PwC’s Midland’s Deals team where he has experience across both Valuations and Corporate Finance.
Born and raised in Northern Ireland, he moved to Birmingham in 2011 and juggles his time outside work between raising a baby boy with his wife, supporting his beloved Manchester United, and playing a range of sports.
