Paul has been the non-executive chairman of The Gym, the UK’s leading low cost gym operator, since February 2012. In June 2013 Phoenix Equity Partners acquired The Gym from founding investors Bridges Ventures. In March 2014 Paul invested in Clothingsites.co.uk Ltd, an online branded menswear retailer, as non-executive chairman alongside Bridges Ventures.
Previous roles include senior finance positions at Matalan (private company) as Finance Director and acting CEO, TJ Hughes (backed by Silverfleet), National Car Parks (backed by Cinven), GUS plc, Littlewoods and News International plc.
An economics graduate from Cambridge and a Chartered Accountant, Paul lives in South Manchester with his family. His interests include most ball sports and running. Paul has raised tens of thousands of pounds for charity through various sponsored events and currently sits on the North West Development Committee for The Prince’s Trust.

Graham Cole CBE
Graham is Chairman of BGF portfolio company RVL Group.
He trained in the motor industry and then moved to Westland Helicopters Limited in 1974. In 1995, after the acquisition of Westland by GKN, Graham was appointed Director of External Affairs for the GKN Group, a position he held until 2004 when AgustaWestland was fully acquired by Finmeccanica.
In September 2007, Graham was appointed Managing Director, Westland Helicopters and Managing Director International Business for the AgustaWestland Group worldwide. These positions carried responsibility for a company with annual revenues in the UK in excess of £1bn and worldwide business circa £4bn. In February 2011, Graham became Chairman of Westland Helicopters Limited, now called AgustaWestland Limited, and also appointed to the Board of the parent Company Finmeccanica UK. He is also Chairman of Vix Global Board and main Board Director of Utilico.
Graham was President of The West of England Aerospace Forum for 4 years until 2013. He was also Regional Chairman of the CBI South West in until September 2014 and a member of the CBI Chairman’s Committee.
He was appointed a CBE in 2004 for his contribution to Aerospace.

He also currently holds Chairmanships in three other companies – The Harley Medical Group, Drum Cussac and The Original Bowling Company – all backed by private equity. Prior to this, Peter held the positions of CEO or MD in a number of successful private equity backed companies including Fitness First and Maxinutrition.

Keith is the Chairman of BGF portfolio company Cennox.
He is also currently Chairman of a number of VC backed businesses; having sold his own VC backed Engineering Group in 1996. These appointments include Viscose Holdings Ltd, and Frontglass Ltd
He has Chaired over 20 companies since 1996, in Manufacturing, Telecoms, Healthcare, Construction Services, Electronics, Management Consulting, and Internet Hosting/Services, with turnovers ranging from £2m to £230m. He has also worked with a number of UK private equity and venture capital firms.

Mike has enjoyed an extensive, and highly successful career in the TMT sector encompassing senior management roles with media owners, advertising and media agencies.
Most recently Mike worked as an executive director of The Mill- a UK/US specialist in VFX solutions. The management team completed a successful PE backed sale of the business in 2011.
Mike is now focused on expanding his portfolio of NED and advisory roles. Currently this includes his NED position with Palmer Hargreaves, advisory roles with two PE operations and a mentoring role for the MD of an occupational health consultancy.
