BGF is sponsoring this year’s Tenner Challenge – nationwide competition to find the next generation of budding entrepreneurs aged between 11-19 and organised by Young Enterprise, a national education charity. The Tenner Challenge gives young people a taste of what it’s like to be an entrepreneur – a chance to think of a new business idea and make it happen, using real money to take calculated risks in the business field, make a profit, and make a difference.
How the Tenner Challenge works
Young people, working alone or in a group, are pledged £10 from the Tenner Bank. They use this start-up capital to get their business off the ground. They have four weeks to make as much profit as they can, while also trying to make a difference and give back to society.
How BGF is supporting
As well as being headline sponsor of the national schools event, BGF is running its own version of the entrepreneurial challenge, with yoga classes, pop-up restaurants, auctions – and more. The money raised will go back to the Young Enterprise charity.
