Our investment focus is on companies that have a strong growth trajectory. We have been set up to fill the so-called 'equity gap' that growing companies so often face. We do not invest in start-ups or smaller companies as there are other sources of funding available for these businesses.
We may not be able to help all businesses with an offer of investment. However, we are keen to signpost smaller companies to other organisations which may offer financial backing and advice. We know that with the right support and help, small acorns become mighty oaks, and could one day return to us having met our investment criteria. We hope they do.
Business Growth Fund is one of the key recommendations of the Business Finance Taskforce. The Better Business Finance (BBF) website outlines all the initiatives being taken by the Taskforce banks.
